Facebook's 'Gutsy' Instagram Deal Seen as Hedge Against Pinterest | CIO Today:
"What Facebook needed was a hedge against Pinterest going into the IPO to assure a strong one," Enderle asserted. "Instagram on paper gives them that hedge -- underneath both [Pinterest and Instagram] are photo indexing sites, just going about it differently."
{after several attempts to get invited to an Pinterest account, i've pretty much given up hope. :-(
as for Instagram, well i DO have an account an i've successfully used it to post to both Facebook and Google+, but i get the feeling that i'm missing something, does Instagram have its own photo-indexing site? if so, i haven't found it yet. oh well, some mysteries are best left unsolved . . . . }
